We moved to Northfield in 2004 to raise our family. Since then we have moved and rented 22 times in the past 17 years. As you can imagine, moving so many times has caused hardships. But we love living and working in the Northfield community and have dreamed of putting roots here.
I heard about H4H from my step daughter and we were shocked to be accepted into the program. We are looking forward to owning a home to call our own. We have prayed years for this! With affordable housing I can spend more time caring for my aging husband, pay down medical debt from cancer, and build our savings to plan for the future. It also means we’ll have some financial freedom to do the things we love like visiting our children in Tennessee and Utah.
The gift of stability is life changing and will impact our family for generations.
We would like to thank Rice County Habitat for Humanity and all the many volunteers for making our dream come true and helping us build a better life!
