Rice County Habitat for Humanity
Volunteers are a vital part of our mission. We welcome individuals, corporations, community groups, faith congregations, and many more to join us in building safe, affordable homes in our community. No prior experience is necessary – we’ll show you what to do!
Volunteer opportunities are now available for our Faribault locaton. We are looking for volunteers to help with construction and to bring lunch to our crew. Volunteers for construction need to be 18 years and older.
Individual Volunteers
Our Sign Up Genius is now open. If you would like to volunteer for our Faribault build, click on the button below. All construction volunteers must be 18 years and older to help onsite.
Volunteer Groups
Group volunteer opportunities are now available for our Faribault build. All groups must contact Jodi to schedule.
Lunch Provider
Lunch providers volunteer to bring lunch to our construction volunteers during the build days.
Habitat will provider all of the paper products, plastic wear and drinks.
Do you want to help feed our hungry volunteers but are not able to head to the job site? Consider having lunch delivered or donate a lunch gift card from your favorite restaurant.
We are currently looking for our next Starfish house. If you would like to be added to our volunteer list click on the button to contact Jodi. Make sure you add Starfish volunteer to your message.
Become a Faith Builder Congregation
Faith Builder Congregations are faith communities that have said YES to the following:
- Designate 3 people who will be advocates for Habitat within your faith community
- Commit to your church volunteering with Habitat in some way throughout the year
- Commit to a financial contribution annually.

Become a Business Builder with Habitat
Business Builders are businesses in our community who have said YES to the following:
- Designate three people who will be advocates for Habitat within their business
- Commit to your business volunteering with Habitat in some way throughout the year. Does your business have Volunteer Time Off (VTO)? We’d love to have your team on site!
- Commit to a financial contribution annually.
