Homeownership
We are looking for households interested in living in our quad (one unit left) in Northfield and six new single family homes (two houses left) in Faribault. Connect with us today!
Sign up below to schedule an informational meeting.
We choose households on three main criteria:
Need for Housing
Your current housing is inadequate in some way or you’re paying too much of your income for rent.
Ability To Pay
You must be able to pay a mortgage that includes principal, interest, taxes, and insurance. Your household income needs to be under 80% of Rice County's Area Median Income (AMI).
Willingness to Partner
Our families aren’t customers or clients – they are our partners! You must be willing to contribute hours of sweat equity (time building your home) and be ambassadors of our program.
What does Area Median Income mean? This is the middle income for a given area and determined each year by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Are you ready to apply to Habitat?
