My name is Derek Beckjorden.  I am so grateful to be selected for a Habitat house.  I have multiple sclerosis so it is hard for me to get around or to climb stairs.  I am looking forward to the zero-step entry and to have my house all on one floor. That’s going to be huge in my world. When Cheri came to tell me that I was selected I was so excited. My family jumped up and down. I still can’t wrap my head around it. I am most looking forward to being independent in my own home and being able to do everything myself.  I am so appreciative of everyone that is coming to help me.  Thank you to the volunteers, the Go to Crew, my friends and family and to Habitat for Humanity.
