A few years ago, my sister heard about Habitat from someone at CCF Bank. She knew we wanted a house so bad.  We were living in a small run-down apartment and were able to move into a mobile home. It needs a lot of repair. In 2018 I saw a new Habitat house go up. We dreamed of having our own house. A place we can be proud of.  A place where our

children can have a stable home without moving a lot. We went to talk to Cheri, but we needed to fix our credit.  Cheri told us where to go for help. She called to check on us, which helped us to keep going. In 2021 we were ready. We applied and were chosen.  When Habitat came to our door, the kids and I cried in excitement. We could not believe it. The kids did a dance around the living room.

Our Habitat house will mean we won’t have to worry about all the breakdowns and bad things going on in our house now. We will be able to have a garden. The kids can play outside. We can’t wait to own our own house.
