There are many ways to contribute…

1.  VOLUNTEER – You can volunteer on our site, in our warehouse or with fundraisers and events.  See our Volunteer Page.

2.  DONATE MONEY – There are two ways you can directly contribute to Rice County Habitat for Humanity.

B.  You can send a check to:  Rice County Habitat for Humanity, 204 7th Street West, PMB 128, Northfield, MN  55057

3.  HONORARIUMS/MEMORIALS – Many people like to honor their loved ones by giving a gift to Rice County Habitat for Humanity.  You can send any gifts and memorials to the address listed above our contact our staff.

4.  LEAVING A LEGACY – You can give a gift that will last for generations when you leave us in your will or estate plans.

5.  STUFF/HOUSEHOLD ITEMS – We are not able to take your used appliances, furniture or other household items.  There are many organizations that do, though.  Here are some:

Bridging – The mission of Bridging is to provide families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty with a one-time gift of quality furniture and household goods to stabilize and improve lives while effectively using community resources.

Community Action Center – This non-profit in Northfield may be able to take some items.

Used a Bit – Contact Used a Bit which is a store run by the Northfield Senior Center.

St. Vincent dePaul – this non-profit in Faribault may be able to take some items.  Good working, clean household items such as dishes, pots and pans, and silverware are also needed. Clean, good furniture and working household appliances (stoves, washers, dryers and refrigerators) can be donated. Pick up is available. Call 334-2100.
The center serves several hundred people weekly with food, clothing and household items. Families and individuals in need may come to the center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The center is located at 617 Third Ave. N.W.
St. Vincent de Paul Center is a nondenominational service.
